The fact that the music mimics the actual soundtrack- I’m like a minute in and already there’s the tense strings when Hiccup is aiming the gun and the clarinet when he walks through the forest the next day. Pretty cool imo.

@NowYouDont Yes, they were originally a series of 13 books by Cressida Cowell. They're very different in a lot of ways, mostly they just share character names and are both about vikings. I wouldn't say that either is better than the other though. They're both really good on their own, just different.

@NowYouDontIn the books Toothless isn't the most feared dragon known to vikings, he's basically what amounts to a Terrible Terror. Also the dragon war ended centuries before the events of the books, which means the plots of all three movies wouldn't even make sense in the context of the books.
