Honestly, as a long-time fan of Pokémon this the greatest of your recaps I've seen. No joke. I love some of the hidden references like the Cubone being a reference to The very old pokémon card.

This was by far the best recap you've done so far. On top of obvious parody, this one feels like it genuinely comes from a place of love and nostalgia for the Pokemon anime. That Scyther vs Kabutops section was executed perfectly I forgot for a second this was a parody.

Bro the fact that the lady at the breeding place I think just had an alive bulbasaur in her pocket and was completely ready to give it to ash makes me love this animation

Fun fact about the tentacruel episode: it was released on English dub VERY close to when the twin towers fell, so it was ripped off the airwaves in America. But my grandmother had a VHS of that episode in English dub and it was really cool
