When the mom dies I’m sure the husband goomba was absurdly sad but the child is old enough to understand this, seeing the fear in her eyes when her mom just coughs up blood and then when she has to deal with her mom die. Generally very traumatizing and heartbreaking moment (and then she gets older and Mario’s like WAHOO WHAT A LOVELY DAY TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER)
