When I first heard this, my reaction was "darn she pronounces so many words wrong..." Then I realized the singer is 9yo Dutch girl who (speaks dutch or flemish as her 1st language and) most likely barely speaks/understands english yet and still has learnt the Japanese lyrics by memorizing... 😱 And she pronounces most of them right, especially the 2nd chorus is perfecto with no mistakes ✌🏼✌🏼 How amazing is that? 🧡

True! I heard a lot of non Japanese speaking adults trying to cover Japanese songs and a lot of them it isn’t even as good as what this kid is doing imo. I’ve been learning Japanese since I was 12, I’m 30 now and I probably still speak Japanese a bit weird as well, but for a 9 yr old European kid this is amazing!

Maybe it’s just because of where I live, but I know tons of children with better voices. My little sisters friend sounds like she could win American Idol, but she mainly uses her voice to sing something incredibly stupid with an insane amount of flourish as a joke. My three older sisters are all really good at singing (Hannah might be an exception). And my three younger sisters are growing into their voices(though Faith’s already sounds amazing). And my 2 brothers have okay voices, but I guess they never sang enough growing up. I have a decent enough voice and I’ve been getting a lot of complements on my Falsetto recently. I guess it goes to show you that anyone can sing, they just need to dedicate enough time to it. Some people have a better starting point, but when I have a family I’m going to make sure to sing with them and try to get them to develop perfect pitch because you can’t develop that later in life. Okay, sorry. Rant over.

In the stitch video an acoustic guitar wasn't used in the song, yet we still saw stitch using one during that sequence of the video. Like during this one no saxophone is present in the song, despite this Totoro is still playing a saxophone

Went to watch the Japanese dub of Totoro in my theatres 2 years ago only without my ex, I'm not the only one who cried watching this masterpiece when it almost got to the end of the movie I balled my eyes out? My childhood came back and plucked my strings, I wished I can get my hands on the Fox dub version, I will never get tired of Studio Ghibli movies. Especially My neighbor Totoro.

Cas ,this animation and this Cover raises the feeling of nostalgia and memories of the youth of those years. I have watched and reviewed My Neighbor Totoro (1988) thousands of times and when I watch/watched this cartoon, Totoro seemed to make/makes me watch other cartoons from maestro Hayao Miazaki. My guess for the easiest way would be animating them in two layers. The background on a loop, and the foreground with each character on a loop but each being moved in the wave pattern, likely by hand.
