Funny thing is, after doing sound design for Star Wars, Ben Burtt never wanted to do a movie with robots in it ever again. Until Pixar told him about Wall E (even recorded more sounds for wall e than for Star wars). Really shows how spectacular this movie is

That is weird, I expected to be oil(it's color is often depicted as black, and oil is essential the typical lifeblood of robots). Another question is why EVE is holding a shotgun? In fact, why even bother using it when you are equipped with an extremely powerful ion cannon that essentially destroys everything in its path.

@@PsychovistaPC Um, really? For a robot it would probably dent the chassis of the robot doing little damage, EVE shot GO-4 right in the Optic, killing him instantly. There was no suffering there.

Wasn't there a scene before the credits rolled where we could see more plants growing just beyond the city where the Axiom landed? Life was probably already sustainable then, it's just that it took a lot of effort (and one singular plant that just happens to be growing in the general search area) for everyone else to notice.

Ok this has to be one of the funniest recaps you've ever done. Really lampshaded the way Pixar made things kid friendly when they probably wouldn't have really turned out that way. I lost it when Wall-E didn't help that other dying Wall-E. The timing on that was so perfect

@@ijkdenem I mean, true to the film, just happened off screen. He had extra parts in the big garage to replace his treads and eye piece - where else would they come from? And the movie does illustrate in old footage that there were dozens of WALL E units cleaning the earth at one time, ours is basically the last of his robotic kind.

IIRC, the initial cut actually didn't include the credits reel showing the planet improving -- it was added after the director (Andrew Stanton) thought test audiences believed the humans would've been unable to cope and died.

@@lalaemi264 I mean, credit reel or not, we'd have to presume they'd continue to rely on the resources of the ship for years if not generations. I don't think Pixar intended for a city-sized civilization of fat people to survive on a piece of grass, but I could understand children asking "did they die??" if the movie just ended with them planting the sprout among garbage and smiling into the camera.

I swear the most impressive part of these videos is the physics. Watching Wall-E holding a strand of light bulbs slowly drifting towards the ship as the cord bends until he promptly smacks into the door. It's impressive.
